Before the shelves go quiet for renovation, the Friends of the New Milford Public Library are turning the page on one final—and highly anticipated—Summer Book Sale. Set to take place at New Milford High School, this event marks the last book sale for at least two years, as the library undergoes major construction.
The schedule is packed with opportunities to score literary gems:
- Thursday, July 11: Early Bird Hour (9–10 a.m.) for $5 admission, followed by free entry from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Friday, July 12: Open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Saturday, July 13: Final day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.—with all books half price!
From bestsellers and biographies to kids’ favorites and vintage paperbacks, every genre is represented at wallet-friendly prices. With a multi-year break on the horizon, the Friends urge the community to “think ahead and STOCK up!” on reads for the seasons ahead.
